Gladys Twistleton, remembered by Galahad in Heavy Weather as a girl afraid of thunderstorms, would fling her arms around the neck of the nearest man, hugging and kissing him until it was all over. A beautiful girl with large, melting eyes, married a fellow in the Blues called Harringay.
