George Tupper, Old Tuppy, onetime Wrykyn schoolmate of
S.F. Ukridge and James Corcoran, was head of the school
in his last year. Used to write sentimental poetry for the
school magazine; now the sort of man who is always starting
subscription lists and getting up memorials and presentations.
An earnest man with a pulpy heart, takes other people's
troubles very seriously. Successful member of the Foreign
Office in the Ukridge stories (e.g.
Ukridge's Dog College,
No Wedding Bells for Him,
Success Story).
Frequently touched by Ukridge for loans.
