FRY FULFILS HITCHHIKER DREAM
British actor STEPHEN FRY will fulfil his childhood dream by starring in the TV adaptation of DOUGLAS ADAMS' classic sci-fi novel THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY.
The GOSFORD PARK star will provide the voice for The Guide, an electronic book which advises the story's hero ARTHUR DENT during his adventures in outer space.
The 47-year-old gushes, "Being asked to do the voice of The Guide is like having your birthday on Christmas Day, discovering a winning lottery ticket in your stocking and having chocolate poured all over you."
Executive producer ROBBIE STAMP adds, "His humour and intelligence are perfect for the voice of The Guide."
The cast also includes actors JOHN MALKOVICH, ALAN RICKMAN and THE OFFICE TV star MARTIN FREEMAN.
