Это из февральского отрывка. "It struck me as unusual that a vicar's daughter should be a member of a secret society, but I could think of no other explanation for her words. They had sounded like a secret code, the sort of thing you haven't a hope of making sense of if you aren't a unit of [The Uncanny Seven] in good standing with all your dues paid up..." Неужели правда речь идет о "Великолепной семерке"? Ведь сам фильм называется "The Magnifiest Seven"... Я думала, что Берти о каком-то обществе говорит. Между прочим, по запросу на "Uncanny Seven" сеть завела меня на одноименный сайт, где предлагались всякие коды к игрушкам...

Думали, что все вот так по-честному изучают февральский отрывок и все вроде как в курсе...
а не в курсе оказался даже тот, который... :-))))
Кстати, я не говорил, что эта Великолепная Семерка.
(Хотя в другом отрывке Плам прямо писал о мальчишке обрившем себя под Юла Бринера).
Я (жаль с историей не дружу :( ), скорей предположил бы что речь идет о каком-нибудь "Пороховом Заговоре" или другом событии на кои так богата история этого туманного острова.

А я Вас перепутал с Надеждой Сечкиной, (интересно почему? - казалось бы - вопрос ко мне, но я на него точно сейчас не отвечу).

Но это ещё не высшая инстанция. М.б. что-то реальное и имелось в виду.

The Uncanny SevenI think it's just a made-up name for a secret society. He could equally have called it the 'Strange Six' or the 'Odd Eight'.He's just using it as an example of a secret society.
