Andrew Westley, brother of the late Maude Westley, John Maude's uncle, guardian, and sometime employer in The Prince and Betty and The Prince and Betty. A capable rather than lovable man, too self-controlled to be quite human. Proprietor of Westley, Martin & Co. in New York (The Prince and Betty) or London (The Prince and Betty). Gave nephew John his mother's first name as a surname to erase all memory of his father, the late Prince Charles of Mervo, and (in The Prince and Betty) brought him up as an Englishman. Dislikes John intensely.
